GMI Holsters "Build a Battle Belt" Belt Rig and Holster Selection Tool

Choose your own gun belt, holster, magazine and accessory pouches.

If you are looking for a premium belt setup for high intensity training, real world combat use, LEO/police duty carry, ready-to-grab home defense kit, or just some serious LARPing, you will be well equipped if you use our selection tool to build your perfect belt.

How does it work?

There are a lot of ways you can set up your belt, that means there are a LOT of options above for you to pick through! Take some time to make the right selections for you, in the following order:

Start by picking your belt (see more in-depth information about our belt options here). Select one of our Dual Layer belts from KORE if you want to be able to leave your holster and magazine carriers attached to the belt at all times. If you don't mind threading your belt through the holster and clipping on your mag carriers each time you equip your gear, then you will be perfectly happy with the more affordable single layer options.

Next, select the specs for the "Demon Duty" holster that comes standard in this package. You will make the following choices:

  1. Right or left handed.
  2. What firearm model the holster will be designed to fit.
  3. What light (if any) is attached to your weapon.
  4. Whether or not you desire the WRS hood mechanism that upgrades the holster to level II, if you select "No" your holster will still have passive retention, meaning the weapon will still stay secure, but will not have the thumbbreak strap that keeps in locked in place.
  5. Whether or not you desire the Tek-Mount that makes it easier to switch between sidearms, and to adjust the cant angle. This is a fantastic option if you have multiple pistols, and may want to switch between them. We offer Demon holsters with JUST the Tek-Mount disc on the back so you can get additional holsters at a more affordable price and switch between them in seconds.
  6. Thickness of the kydex material that will be used to build the holster. .080" is thick enough for most holsters to be plenty durable but is too flexible to be used reliably with the WRS hood, for level II holsters we recommend the .093", and the .125" thickness is for those that want the absolute most in durability, but this comes with two trade-offs; first, this material can only be acquired in black, second, the holster is so thick that we have to reduce the amount of retention in the holster, otherwise it would be too tight. This means that the WRS is very important to keep the gun secure because the holsters made of .125" will not hold the gun as tightly when the WRS is not locked.
  7. Color of the holster, this is straightforward, we offer several colors to keep your build looking fresh and fit with your needs.

Next, you will have to make the selections for up to 3 attachments to add onto the belt. These are labeled as belt slot A, B, and C, and you will need to make the following selections for all 3 slots.

  1. What magazine carrier or equipment will we be including for this belt position, this can be a pistol magazine carrier, a rifle magazine carrier, or dual versions of either rifle or pistol stacked together to hold two magazines in one belt slot.
  2. The color of course!
  3. Lastly you will decide whether you would like the Mini Tek-Mount system for this belt slot, like with the holster you may want this upgrade if you are planning to change around your setup from time to time, for example you may want to carry 3 rifle mags one day, and another day a mix of pistol and rifle magazines. You can find additional magazine carriers here and choose to receive them with only the Tek-Mount Mini disc on the back, ready to drop in to the Tek-Mount receivers on the belt.

You can select "None" for any of these belt slot sections if you don't need all three slots filled, allowing you to customize your belt for not only your needs, but also your budget.

If you want more than 3 attachments on your belt, additional holsters or magazine carriers that you can swap between, or anything else you may want added to your belt setup, please reach out to me at: cody@gmiholsters.com for a custom quote!

Once you have made all of your choices you can add to cart, and see your final price for the full combo. There are so many things you can add via this selection tool, that you may be surprised how much the price can add up, but keep in mind we have set up the pricing so that building your belt setup here is significantly less than purchasing all of the pieces individually.
